Choosing a location for your pictures to be taken?
It’s up to you whether you have pictures at home or at a favourite family location. Outside can be great as you often get fantastic light and some stunning natural settings where you can all run about and have some fun! You can personalise your shoot by bringing games or what about arranging a family picnic or activity? It’s really up to you!
A photo shoot at home captures relaxed family time and often with newborn and baby shoots it can be a lot easier for you. You will have none of the stress of travelling and I can work around you allowing time for a feed or a change so I can get you all at your best.
What to Wear?
I recommend bringing a couple of changes of clothes. Lots of colours and textures are good, particularly hats, gloves and sunglasses which are always great fun! Think creatively about what to wear, furry collars on hoods and headbands with flowers can look amazing in your pictures! With baby shoots just a special baby blanket or tiny hat can be enough. Again anything that is personal and special will help to make your pictures great.
What to bring?
The more you bring along to your family photo shoot the better. I always suggest bringing along toys, dressing up outfits and anything that will add a little extra creativity to your shoot! Do you and your family have any hobbies that you would like to show in your pictures? Umbrellas can be great fun and colourful wellies! Balloons, flowers, bubbles can all help your little ones giggle and smile for the pictures!
