The Wedding of Debbie and Stuart Todd in Bristol at Woodlands Church and Goldbrick House, Oct 2011
“My wife and I were married in Bristol in October 2011 and couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Fran. Right from the initial meeting some months before we were really impressed by how friendly, relaxed and yet knowledgeable and efficient she was, and were left feeling very confident that we were in safe hands. She had some great ideas for the planning of the day (and not just photographic input – speeches at the start of the meal, guys, it’s the way forward!), and offered a flexible range of packages which I think would suit anyone.
We had an Engagement Shoot over the summer as part of the package, which was a great way to get us used to being photographed naturally rather than grinning nervously every time a camera was on us, and gave us some lovely photos to choose from. As a bonus it also really left us feeling quite special – I think the build up to the wedding itself started there! Fran communicated with us really well leading up to the wedding to ensure she had a checklist of any specific shots we wanted, which was much appreciated.
On the big day, Fran was a pleasure to have around. She got on well with our guests and put everyone at ease, and did a fantastic job of capturing natural, reportage style shots unobtrusively, then organising our noisy guests for some group pictures, which she executed quickly and painlessly to save people hanging around. It was sad to see her leave when her job was finished!
Fran focused on giving us a beautifully presented DVD-ROM of the digital photos (we received about 500 shots) and the rights for us to print and distribute them as we choose, rather than forcing us to select a set number of hard copy prints (though she offers printing and album services too). This is a really versatile approach, allowing us take our time carefully choosing which ones we want in album whilst still showing them all off online, and an acknowledgement of the gradual move towards social media and iPads / smart phones as a way of consuming photos.
We’re left with a truly wonderful documentary of our wedding day: a mix of colour and black and white; some arty shots, some reportage pictures of guests enjoying themselves, plus some more traditional group shots; but all with a modern approach, and in which the people and venues look amazing. (Even I look ok in a couple!) Very competitively priced, definite value for money, and a lovely person to have at your wedding. Simply faultless.”

“Thank you so much for the photos – we are so unbelievably happy with them and have had lots of lovely comments from others about them. You have captured the relaxed feeling of the day perfectly and whenever we look at them it’s like being transported back to the day itself. You really are a very talented lady with the way you set up the shots and also the editing. You were also great company and we would recommend you to anyone!”

“Fran made us feel so relaxed around the camera and there just wasn’t anything that wasn’t too much trouble for her to do. We absolutely love the photos that she produced for our wedding and can’t recommend her highly enough.”
The Wedding of Annabel and James Thompson in Bristol at Langford Court, March 2010
“Fran took our wedding pictures forus in March 2010. Fran had taken the wedding photos of a great friend of mine so we knew that we would be getting a fantastic service but Fran managed to exceed all expectations. The engagement photographs that Fran took at the place where we had the reception was a fantastic opportunity for us to try and feel more relaxed in front of the camera and talk about how the actual day was going to go. Fran was great at making us think about timings and the style of photographs that we wanted. We ended up with the perfect combination of group and informal shoots that really captured the day. Some of my favourite photographs are those that were ”stolen moments” that we could not have planned but that Fran knew would make a great shoot. Fran style is completely unobtrusive and she was friendly and professional throughout. Both the engagement and wedding photographs are totally amazing and we literally have them all over our home. Fran was also extremely quick in getting the photos back to us-we got them back while we still on honeymoon which was so fun as we able to relive the day as soon as we got back. We have recommended Fran to all our friends. ”

“Whilst your wedding day is the happiest moment in your relationship it is also a very difficult thing to organise and run smoothly. It is therefore crucial to have a photographer who understands how to make you feel at ease. Francis goes further than that and makes you feel like the most special person in the world. I have never been truly happy with myself in photographs but that all changed at my wedding. She is a true professional with an exceptional gift. Francis somehow managed to capture the essence of the day. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you so much for giving me a a chance to relive those happy moments forever.”

“Fran’s photos of our wedding captured the mood of the day perfectly. We have a beautiful album of memories and I really appreciate the little details and moments she picked out. We have stunning shots of exchanges between family and friends with everyone looking happy, relaxed and gorgeous. The group shots are fantastic, I have no idea how she managed to get everyone organised so effortlessly. Fran has also taken the most beautiful pictures of our children. I highly recommend her.”

“Fran did my wedding photos back in October 2007. I have a gorgeous album of photos from the whole day, from getting ready through to the first dance. She has a real talent for capturing moments in an informal and relaxed way, and has a fantastic eye.”
